DMG has a well organized setup with a team of 114 geo-scientists including 14 drilling engineers and adequate infrastructure facilities and is well equipped to undertake following works.
Geophysical Section: This section carries out geophysical survey for departmental projects as well as for private entrepreneurs to identify the sub surface location of the ore body and its extension through Resistivity, SP, IP, Seismic and Gravity survey.
Remote Sensing Cell: This cell carries out the satellite data interpretation for preparation of geological and structural map including lineament for in house projects and uses GIS based applications for mineral exploration. The cell is well equipped with Image Processing Systems like ERDAS 9.2, ENVI, ARC GIS, OASIS MONTAZ, SURFER etc. and fully skilled officer.
Petrological Laboratory: The study of thin sections as well as polished sections is carried out by this section for in house
Mineral Evaluation Cell: This cell conducts Mineral Inventory Studies for various minerals in the State. Besides, the cell also undertakes prospecting and drilling work on no loss no profit basis for private entrepreneurs under the frame work of rules for prospecting in lease hold areas. Chemical Laboratory : This laboratory is a reputed laboratory in the country and possesses sophisticated instruments for chemical analysis of the mineral and rock samples. Chemical analysis of samples for private entrepreneurs is also conducted on no loss no profit basis.
Ceramic and Ore Dressing Laboratory : This laboratory conducts experiments and tests on the ceramic minerals and ores found in Rajasthan for in house demand. The tests and studies for private entrepreneurs are also conducted on no loss no profit basis.
Drilling & Mechanical Section:This section carries out drilling both coring and non coring for in house projects as well as for private entrepreneurs. This section is also well equipped with a centralized mechanical workshop for maintaining the drilling rigs and other accessories.
